Feather Border

PLEASE NOTE: This pattern does not include the bird shown in the diagram above.

This pattern contains the feather pattern in two sizes- 3 x 12 inch and 6 x 24 inch. The bird was included to give an example of the feather being used as a border.

This pattern was designed as a border for a mini quilt. The gentle curve of the feather beautifully frames a centre block. Just because it was designed for this use, does not mean that it has to be used in this way. Have fun creating your own feather projects!

This pattern contains tiny pieces and acute angles. It is not a pattern which is suitable for beginner paper piecers.

This foundation paper pieced pattern (and all my other patterns) contain:
1. written instructions telling you the order to sew the paper pieces together.
2. Pictorial overviews of the pattern to help you orientate the pieces
3. Separate pattern pieces which include a 1/4 inch seam allowance.

Basic paper piecing instructions are not included, but I have included a few tips and a link to the paper piecing tutorials on my blog.
